Men and women will retire at the age of 63 and the length of contribution will be 34 years. These amendments have been approved by the Parliament in the final reading of the law.
The retirement age for men will rise to 63 years by January 1, 2019 (4 months per year), while women retirement age of 63 years old will be effective on July 1, 2028 (6 months annually). The length of employment for women and men will be unified to 34 years of contribution. The contribution period for men will be established from 1 July, 2018 and for women by July 1, 2024.
Additionally, the process of re-examination of pension has been changed. Pensioners who work or have worked after retirement may require a review of their pension no more often than every two years. To take effect, the law must be promulgated by the President.
